40 DAYS OF PRAYER

Beginning Wednesday, March 2, 2022

Thank you for taking part in the 40 days of prayer for our church! We are asking each member to spend 15 minutes in prayer every day from Ash Wednesday until Easter week. We are seeking Gods’ direction and guidance on who He wants us to be, and what He wants us to be doing as we move forward into 2022 and in the future. These are suggestions for your prayer time, pray whatever God places on your heart.

We suggest you take some time to quiet your hearts before God. Confess your sins and ask for forgiveness. Take some time to thank and praise God for WHO He is and for what He’s done. Let God speak to you through his Word.

Then present your requests to God and don’t forget to listen to what He tells you. Sitting in silence is a good thing! End with thanks and praise that God has heard your prayers and is even now answering them.

God has brought us through good times and hard times. Lord, You have been our refuge, from one generation to another… 134 years by God’s grace!

PREPARE YOUR HEARTS

(2 Chron. 7:14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.

HUNGER FOR REVIVAL:

(Matthew 5:6) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled

REPENT: (Rev. 2:5) Remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come to you quickly and will remove your candlestick out of its place. Remember your first love

PREPARE YOUR HEART:

(2 Tim. 2:20, 21) Be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

STIR UP YOUR GIFTS:

(2 Tim. 1:6-7) Stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind

SEEK GOD’S WAYS:

(Isaiah 55:8-13) For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts

BUILD UP YOUR SPIRIT:

(Jude 1:20) But Ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost

LIVE A HOLY LIFE:

(Hebr. 1:9) You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore, God your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.

ASK FOR REVIVAL:

(Psalms 85:6-8) Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in You? Show us your mercy, O Lord, and grant us your salvation

TRUE WORSHIP:

(John 4:23, 24) But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth

SEEK GOD:

(Psalms 42:1-4) As the deer pants for the water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

REPENT:

(Acts 3:19-21) Repent and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began

ACT IN LOVE:

(Matt. 22:37-40) You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and Prophets

EXPECT GREAT THINGS:

(Jeremiah 33:3) Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know

(Eph 3:20) Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

WAIT ON THE LORD:

(Isaiah 40:28-31) Have you not known; Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint

PRAY WITHOUT DOUBTING:

(Mark 11:24) Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them

PRAYER PERSISTENTLY:

(Matt 7:7,8) ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened

PROMISE FOR ALL:

(Acts 2:39) For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call
