Intentional Interim Pastor
Pastor Dan L. Siedenburg was born January 15, 1953 in Boonville, Missouri to Arthur and Nora Siedenburg of Lone Elm, Missouri. He has an older brother, Larry of Jefferson City, Missouri; Pastor Siedenburg was received into God’s family by Holy Baptism on February 15, 1953 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lone Elm and attended Zion Lutheran Elementary School and Bunceton High School. He graduated from St. Paul’s College in Concordia, Missouri in 1973 and Concordia College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1975. He taught at Trinity Lutheran School in Mount Clemens, Michigan during the 1975-76 school year.
On July 16, 1976 Pastor Siedenburg was married to Patricia Woltmann of Independence, Missouri.
In the Fall of 1976 Pastor Siedenburg entered Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana to begin a program of study for the pastoral ministry. In 1979 he served a vicarage (internship) at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Redondo Beach, California. He graduated from the seminary on May 23, 1980 and was ordained at his home church, Zion Lutheran in Lone Elm, Missouri on June 15, 1980.
Pastor Siedenburg received his first pastoral Call to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and was installed as the Assistant Pastor in September of 1980. In January of 1982 he was installed as the Administrative Pastor of the same congregation and served in that position until October of 1987 when he accepted the Call to be Senior Pastor of St. Stephanus Lutheran Church/Central Lutheran School in St Paul, Minnesota. In 1994 he accepted the Call to serve as Senior Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Preschool in Redondo Beach, California. In 1988 Pastor Siedenburg received and accepted the Call to pastor Fish Lake Immanuel Lutheran Church in Prior Lake, Minnesota where he served for 10 years until receiving the Intentional Interim Senior Pastor Call to Messiah Lutheran Church and Preschool in Mounds View, Minnesota. After serving 18 months at Messiah Pastor Siedenburg received and accepted the Intentional Interim Pastoral Call to Holy Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Open Arms Early Childhood Center in Bloomington, Minnesota.
During the years of his ministry Pastor Siedenburg has served on various boards and committees within the Michigan, South Wisconsin, Minnesota South and Pacific Southwest Districts of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. He has done graduate studies in the Doctor Ministry program at the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago, Illinois and he was certified as an Intentional Interim Pastor in 2006. Pastor Siedenburg enjoys classic cars and being involved with the civic activities of the community.
Pastor Dan and Pat’s marriage has been blessed with two sons, Shannon (Maplewood, MN.) and Nicholas (Chaska MN.) and a daughter, Hannah (Reno, NV.). Their marriage has been especially blessed with two daughters in law, Debi (Shannon) and Lindy (Nicholas). Pastor Dan and Pat’s family has been greatly enriched with a grandson, Gavin, a granddaughter Ava, (Shannon & Debi) a grandson, Nolan and a granddaughter to be born in the Fall. (Nicholas & Lindy)
Director Open Arms ECC (Christian Early Childhood Center) and Youth Ministries
Natalie Mylander, Director Open Arms ECC (Christian Early Childhood Center) and Youth Ministries is a life-long member of Holy Emmanuel. Natalie has served our congregation in many ways over the years - teaching children about God's love has always been Natalie's passion.
Director of Music
We have been blessed with Rick Marko as our Director of Music at Holy Emmanuel for many years. Rick works enthusiastically with our Praise Band and Choir to bring the joy of Christian music to our worship services. He is a talented musician himself and enjoys playing the guitar and singing with the band every Sunday.
Church Organist and Pianist
Judy Hauschild, Church Organist and Pianist, is the most recent addition to Holy Emmanuel's church staff. We hope to have her with us for many years to come!
Church Secretary
We'd really be in a real bind without Candy Frein, our church secretary. She is a whiz on the computer and keeps Holy Emmanuel running smoothly.
